Kieninger 0142-22-02 JOSEPHINE Floor Standing Vienna Regulator with Westminster Chimes on an 8-Rod Gong, 8-Day Power Reserve in Walnut Burl with Mother of Pearl Inlays is an impressive Extended length pendulum clock with open escapement: Elegant, slim floor clock in dark walnut finish with walnut/walnut burl back panel and fine mother of pearl effect inlays. Completely beveled glasses in base and body, triple LED lighting, 1 ¼ seconds compensation pendulum with fine adjustment. This floor standing Vienna style regulator is named after the Viennese opera singer during the Biedermeier era, Josphine “Pipi” Fröhlich who made her operatic debut in Mozart’s opera Die Entführung aus dem Serail in 1821. The clock is a true masterpiece, with an elegant yet understated cabinet featuring burl accents and mother-of-pearl inlay. The clock is has a small footprint, which contributes towards the feeling of quiet and reserved excellence and works well with any decor.
The dial displays the open, jeweled escapement below the 12:00 position. The three-weight mechanism ticks very slowly, at 1.25 seconds per tick (or 48 beats per minute). The amplitude is also very small, which also increases it’s prestige and value.The Westminster chime gives a sonorous reminder every quarter hour on long, tuned steel rods. A timeless classic, the Josephine has a cable-wound precision movement with automatic beat adjustment and maintaining power. This means that the clock will continue to run, even while you are cranking the weight cables once per week. Josephine is fitted with the RS011 - Cable-driven movement with Westminster chime with 4/4 cable movement with Westminster chime on 8-rod gong, automatic beat adjustment, maintaining power, true second and automatic night time shut-off between 10.00 PM and 7.15 AM
